A visit from Grandma and Grandpa

I pulled a Ruth and I put all the pictures in backwards order - so you are going to get our weekend in backwards order - sorry!!! (You may want to scroll to the bottom and read up) And Ruth, if I've left anything out you'll have to add it!
Truth be told, even though it may seem like we did alot, we really didn't do much because Grandma and Grandpa brought the snow with them when they came and when it snows here everything closes down including the base. Saturday afternoon and Sunday were the only days we could get out to do anything. We did have a lot of fun and wish they could've stayed longer.

After church we went for a ride. We tried to go up Pike's Peak but the roads were still closed from the snow. We ended up at a place called Seven Falls. It was really pretty. We got to ride an elevator to the top view. Morgan, Cash and I climbed the 224 steps to the top of the waterfall - my legs still hurt!! After that we drove around Garden of the Gods and stopped at the gift shop there.

Look who's all handsome and ready for church!

They weren't giving anymore tours for the day but we got to hang out in the gift shop for awhile.

After we finished at the Academy we went to the Olympic Training Center where Cash convinced Grandma that he really needed a ball. He walked around the gift shop playing with the ball and yelling "Ball, Ball, Ball" over and over. (Grandma is such a sucker)

This is the Catholic Chapel.

Then we went over the the Cadet Chapel. It is a really neat building. The top floor is for catholics, the front half of the bottom floor is for Protestant (I think) and the back half has several smaller chapels such as Muslim and Budhist.

We went to the Air Force Academy visitor's center. Cash loved climbing on the airplane and he learned to say bird - with the help of Grandma.

Cash loved having Grandpa here and using him as a body pillow to lay on and watch Sesame Street.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!

I've been meaning to get this done sooner but boy does time go by fast. The first night Grandma and Grandpa were here we celebrated Grandma's birthday.

Birds and Inheritance

Just thought I would let you know where I am spending your inheritance. These birds can eat more seeds than you can imagine!! Sunday there were so many on the sock feeders you could hardly see anything else. And the ground was just moving with them. These aren't really good pictures but I took them through the window. Maybe they are getting in their two year supply - or getting fed good so they can make the migration trip somewhere. Mom C.

Trinity goes to the farm

Grandpa has this great animal farm behind his house. (But it isn't his farm) There were lots of things to see. Chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, Llamas and horses. This baby llama was born on Uncle Calen's wedding day last June. It's mother is brown.
Here little goat - come and eat some grass. There are lots of goats, 4 mammas and 7 kids. And they all wear little sweaters so they don't get cold.

Wow! This goat can really eat. In fact I have him eating right out of my hand.

I really like this bouncing thing. But put me down so I can explore things. What's that I see down there?

She actually did think the trampoline was fun but the little twig by her hand was even more fastinating.

So here I am at the Living Aquarium in Sandy. I'm not sure what it is but I guess I'll find out. Mommy and Grandma seem to think its great. I'm now expressing an opinion yet.
And I'm suppose to see what? I'm not sure what it's all about. Maybe it will get better. Grownups??????

OK. so that's a bull frog! So what am I supposed to do with it. I can't even get to it. There's a window in the way. What fun is that.

This is more like it. Hey! there's a sting ray down there."Here fishy, fishy."

Actually I just love to splash in the water - forget those sting rays who don't want to come near so I can touch them. They will just lose out!

Hey, that a different fish. Maybe daddy will get one for our tank.

WOW! These are kind of colorful. Maybe daddy will get me some of these too.

Do we really have to go home now? I was just starting to have fun!

ya! This is what I've been waiting for---food---french fries----I even got some of grandma's milk shake. It was worth having to see all those dumb fish.

Carson's Wedding

A little further down you will see that this was suppoosed to be somewhere else but I somehow managed to delete it so you get to see it first.
Anyway this is Carl and Cheryls new family. Carl, Cheryl, Carson, Sarah, Caitlynn, Cade, and Cole. I don't know why Carson didn't find a wife that started with a "C"! She will feel left out.

We just love our trips to Canada. They are filled with excitement and always the unexpected weather conditions. We left here Wednesday, March 25 in the afternoon and went as far as Karies and stayed the night. True to form the weather was pretty good until we just about got there and then the heavens opened up and the snow came. That was day 1. We left the next morning and got to Canada, and it was not too bad. Friday was also a nice day. Saturday morning we woke up to 8+ inches of snow, depending where you were. Mountain View and Hillspring said they got at least 10 inches. Good day for a wedding, but the sun did come out and part of the day was quite pleasant. We made it to the reception and got to visit with many of the family members. All my brothers and sisters that were up there were to the wedding. Marie was back east visiting her son Ken so she wasn't there but the rest were. At the luncheon we decided we all wanted to eat together so 11 of us crowded around the round table and had a great time visiting with each other. People came by and made comments about us being a "close" family. Good thing we were all right handed! We decided to leave Sunday so we could take two days to get home. Well true to form we woke up to at least 4 more inches of snow. The roads were bad all the way. We got to Dillion and the roads were closed south, so we had to stay there overnight. The next morning about 10:30 they finally opened and we were able to get the rest of the way home. Boy did it ever seem like a long trip home! Anyway that is a brief story of our trip and now for a few pictures of the wedding.

Dad decided to start to grow a beard to keep the women from chasing him. (his words). The Carson said he should grow it till he got married so he decided to. This is how handsome he looks. Jane said he now has it cut off. He kind of looked like some old miner come into town in the olden days.

And here is the happy couple. Carson and Sarah. They looked very happy. And it was a nice ceremony performed by Cheryl's brother (Carson's Uncle) He also married Carl and Cheryl 31 years ago.

And here is the happy mother (Cheryl). She was excited but also emotional. And she looked beautiful. They had a wonderful dinner. Roast beef, baked potatoes, salads, and yummy desserts made by Sarah's mother.

And the proud father (Carl) and Cade. I told Carl he cleaned up real good. He did look very handsome. He didn't wear a suit but looked great in his vest.

And now for a three generation picture of the whiskered Romerils. Carson was supposed to have a few more whiskers but he trimmed them off that morning, so he just had a few. What a handsome threesome.

****Once again I somehow deleted the picture that was supposed to be here so it appears at the top of the blog. I don't know how I manage to do that!

And here are Jane's grandkids. They were all ready to go to the reception and were looking so cute.

Hailey ( I don't know if I spelled it correct) and Zoee. They (the family)are living with Jane till they go back down to Rexburg this fall.

Well that is the end!
