Well there have been lots of fun things going on the last week. Trinity came out and her and Cash went trick or treating and thought it was great fun. I'll post some pictures and I'm sure you can figure out who is who. Then of course there was the birth of our 19th grandbaby which we are so excited for. So I'll put on a couple of him I know you all got one from Morgan. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Sorry

As you can tell as you read my next blog I messed up real good. But just pretend I did it right and have the right names by the right people. Some day I will get it right every time instead of just once in a while.

Sean's Farewell Oct. 11, 2009

Sunday He has a real flare for expressing himself. Clayton(Shan) and Brenda also talked and did a fine job. Karie said after church that her brother impressed her with his talk! Good going Shan. After we all went to their house and had a delicious Mexican feast - rice, beans, chicken enchiladas, chicken fajatias, chips and salsa. We had a great time. Below are some pictures to represent the day.

What a good looking son I have. Jared had fun with all his little ones since Emily had to go to California to help her sister. Above is Brock. To the right is Cannon. I can't believe how these little ones are growing. But you can sure tell who they belong to!

Here is Jaxon, Cash, and Ray having fun on the trampoline. Above is the wall sitters. Ray, one of Brenda's family,, and Gunnar. A fun time was had by all and we missed those of you who were not able to make it. Sean goes in the mission home on October 28th I think (at least with in a day or two. and he is going to Hondoras.)

Some of the other pics are when dad came down he washed my truck and I just thought it was a silly looking pic of the skinny man. Wendover Concert

Saturday Clay and I went to Wendover and saw Charlie Pride in concert. I know some of you are asking who? But he was basically the first black country western singer and he won back to back entertainer of the year in the 70's. And any of you know I love country western singers. anyway it was a great concert and us and the l 75% plus of the older generation (that the audience was composed of) loved it. A big thanks to Shannan and Jared for the great Mother's Day gift.

update

No picture but info. I'm almost through with my long term sub position and am counting down the days. My life has been non existant the last two months. I love the kids but now I remember why I retired - so I could relax. I'm not sure if my last day is Oct. 7th or 9th. I'm looking forward to next week and our two days off for fall break. I will be going to St. George to watch dad run the marathon. i was thinking the other day of when we went and took all you little ones or sometimes left some of you home with the older kids. We always enjoyed taking those who got to go. And this year we will be taking Desiree and Cash - seems like yesterday that Morgan was a baby and we took him. How time marches on. Hopefully we will get some good pictures and can post some when I get finished teaching. Love you all, Mom

Thought I'd better add something to the family blog. On Sunday Mackenzie and Trininty came over for dinner (and Byron's family too). After dinner we took Cash and Trinity for a walk - well they took us for a walk. Whoever thought the wagon was a good idea??!!!! They had so much fun pushing and pulling the wagon and neither seemed to notice that they didn't even have shoes on. I bet they walked the wagon 90% of our walk. They loved playing with the goats, ducks and turkeys too! They got along great until Trinity got a hold of one of Cash's toys - it's a good thing he has a brother coming soon. Everything is going great with the pregnancy and the doctor will induce me on Nov 6 if he hasn't already come. (I don't know if it's high hopes or what but I don't think he will wait til the 6th). Morgan is doing great and loves his job over there. He says if we could just be there with him it would be perfect (I'm sure other than the mortars coming over the walls). He would love to hear from any/all of you. His email is morgancscarter81@yahoo.com.

before and after HGC Program

Byron lost 30 or 35 lbs I am not for sure. He is looking great. I have never seen him this thin and we have be married for almost 17 years. He is now under 200. He is riding his bike again. When you are on HGC they ask you not to work out very much. But now that he is done with that he is off and riding and keeping up better then he did before. I do love him very much. He is wonderful I know I married the best Carter guy.

Happy Birthday Morgan! Hope you have a great day. We are going to the Temple this morning and then hope to sunbathe this afternoon! Ha, Ha! If we even find the sun today we will be happy. It rained almost solid yesterday and through out the night. Dad said his rain gauge said in the last couple of days thee had been an inch and that was before yesterday afternoon and last night. The farmers really needed mitsture but I think even they are saying enough! Let us know when you find out anything. Love you, even though having you kind of ruined my bikini days!

Feeling isolated

For all of you who haven't read or heard why I don't call any of you -----my phone is dead, my e-mail doesn't work and I feel like I'm in outer Siberia! If you need to contact us call Dad on his cell phone. Sometimes he actually has it on and will answer. I told him he had to start leaving it with me.
Mom C.

IT'S A BOY!!!! We had our ultrasound today and found out we are having another boy - I am really going to be outnumbered! We are definitly excited and I think Cash will love having a little brother to run around with.

(We pulled this baby swing out for my sister to use for her little guy while she was here visiting and Cash has loved it - I hope he can learn to share it!)

Well we celebrated Canada Day so today we celebrated the US holiday. We invited Jane and Albert to go on a hike with us. I ran into my friend Jeannette the other day and she told us about a hike she had just been on and it sounded good so we decided to go. It was in the US just over the border in St. Mary's. We turned off the road that goes to Logan Pass, if that helps some of you. This was basically where we started out and walked along the lake trail to the end and then started to see the real beauty. It was so quite and peaceful as we walked along. And it wasn't really a hard or steep trail, but just enough ups and downs that you knew you were hiking. We took our time and just enjoyed it.
This was the first water falls we came to - Baring Falls. What a pretty little falls.

Of course we all had to have our picture taken.

The second falls we came to was St. Mary's Falls. Man that water just came pounding over the edge. It swirled around under the bridge we crossed and out the other side. If you fell in that you wouldn't have a chance. You could just feel the cool coming off it. Since I like it a bit cool I thought it was great.

As we kept on going to get to our final destination we passed several places where the water tumbled along. It was so beautiful. Jane and I took lots of opportunities to view the scenery and water. In other words we rested every so often!

Our final destination. What an exhilerating feeling. When I stood in that spot I could have stayed there for a long time. It was a warm day and the cool mist from the falls felt wonderful.

This was just down below where the other picture was taken. This falls was named Virginia Falls and it was well worth the hike. Absolutely Georgeous! Notice all the mist that comes from it.

When we got back to the road. I took this one. The white in about the middle picture by the pine tree is where we were. That is the falls. The hike was 3.1 miles in and then of course we had to come out. Happy Fourth of July!

And this says it all. We were ready to hit the road for home! Tired, a bit hungry, but what a great day we had!
