Pumpkin 2008

Yes it is that time of year again. Time to pick the Pumpkin at Karie and Brian's house. Here is Karie and Byron cooking the chill. Anna did her part cooking the meat.

Thanks Mom & Dad

Mom and Dad were very nice to Byron and I this weekend, Liz and Ray stayed with them and Byron and I had a needed weekend away. We went on a bike ride in Moab and then hiking at Arches National park. The rides we did were both good. I did a 75mile rolling hill and Byron did the big nasty hill climb, 3000 feet in 7 miles. His total mile's turned out to be 62. He was done before I was and just waiting for me to get back so he could share a Diet Coke with me.
What I wonderful man I have in him.

Jane, Clark, Nolan, Ruth, and Ralph Smith. This is one of our cousins that didn't make it to the Reunion before everyone had left. We had really hoped he would be there so I called him Sunday morning and found out they went but everyone had gone so he came over that evening and we got to visit with him. His family was one that we loved to have come to Canada to see us. We had a great visit with him also.
This is the Hilda Payne Romeril group that was able to make it to the Payne Reunion last week-end. I can't say for everyone else but I had a wonderful time. I saw so many cousins I had not seen for years. There were about 80 people there which we thought was great for a first year. Hilda had 5 families represented. Wayne, Ruth, Fae, Jane, Nolan, Clark. There was a good group of Aunt Mary's family from Arizona that also made it. Out of the 10 children there were representatives from Mary, Olaf, Harold, Hilda, Billy there. We are going to have the next reunion the 3rd Saturday in August, 2010. They decided to have it every two years. Clark and I are going to be in charge of it so give us lots of ideas. Wayne and Karole left early so they weren't in the picture. Thanks for those who made it.

For anyone who doesn't know, I love Diet Coke. I am never far away from a diet coke. Now Brian on the other hand, drinks something else. I'll not say what, for fear that my computer will never work again. But for some unknown reason, he likes it and has got his kids drinking it also. I love this photo of Brock taking after me and my love of the good stuff.

Jerrick's staples . . .

Have we mentioned lately how much we love our boys and how excititing they make life . . .

We're starting a savings account just to pay for hospital visits. Jerrick was trying to lift down the back of a 4-wheeler trailer (by himself), when it fell on his head. Luckily there were lots of little kids around to tell me the grusome details and later have Jaxon tell me that it looked like a crime scene. That was probably my fault when I asked him to go outside and take pictures. Yes, morbid, but scrapbooking is an art that requires all types of images!!!

We've also started our own little family blog - with a new baby coming soon we figured it would be a good way to keep everyone updated on our crazy family!

Enjoy!
